Santo Domingo.- The National Meteorological Office (Onamet) reports that the morning hours will have a prevalence of radiant sun and in some periods scattered clouds in isolated points on the Dominican geography, only in areas of the Caribbean coast a slight increase in cloudiness and some isolated showers.

In the afternoon, the southeast wind will transport humidity that, when interacting with the orography, will provide some short-term passenger showers over: La Altagracia, Hato Mayor, Monte Plata, San Juan, Elías Piña and other nearby sectors. The high pressure system affects limiting the rains.

For Tuesday , a trough will induce instability towards the Dominican territory , therefore, by adding the humidity of a tropical wave to the south that will bring the east/southeast wind closer, episodes of local moderate downpours, thunderstorms and gusts of wind will be favored from noon sometimes over the towns of: Hato Mayor, Monte Plata, San Cristóbal, Duarte, María Trinidad Sánchez, Monseñor Nouel, La Vega, Santiago, Puerto Plata, Greater Santo Domingo, as well as other towns in the northwest and southwest.

Temperatures will remain hot. We recommend that the population drink water several times a day, wear light colored clothes and avoid receiving sunlight for a long time without protection between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Onamet urges paying attention to children and the elderly, who turn out to be more susceptible to high temperatures.
