Ansonia holds first-ever toy show to benefit Ansonia library
Ansonia: He-Man, the Care Bears, Optimus Prime, the Ninja Turtles, and more classic toys are set to invade the Ansonia Armory at 5 State Street, Ansonia, CT, on Sunday, December 1, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. as the city holds its first-ever toy show to benefit the Children’s Room at the Ansonia Library.
Admission to the show is $5, and all proceeds (including vendor fees) will go toward purchasing new books for the Ansonia Children’s Library. More than 20 vendors specializing in vintage toys and collectibles, such as comic books, games and colorful pop culture artifacts, are expected to be on hand.
“It’s a chance for treasure-seeking shoppers to strike gold,” says Mayor David S. Cassetti. “And maybe a chance to pick up that special toy Santa forgot to bring you in 1985.” Vendors scheduled for the show include Tom Fiore (New Haven Comic & Collectible Spectacular), Weirdo Wonderland, WWE Superstar Mario Mancini/Paradise Alley Pro Wrestling, Brick House Comics, and Good Neighbor Bros.
