Thanksgiving & Footprints of “The C’HAPPINESS Traveler’s Museum” Across Time.

Lucila Del Rosario, PhD., President of Omiamerica Productions
Starting a day or event by giving thanks for all the transcendent things that happen throughout life is excellent, especially as we travel through time, connecting by sea, earth or air, different eras, legendary places, and by different paths, fulfilling purposes that make us happy from the moment we are cells and atoms in the micro and macro-Universe. Therefore, at this moment, I urge everyone to touch each mosaic you see in the image (C’HAPPINESS); to touch the trees and flags that appear alongside happy travelers accompanying me through time; scattering in the wind and like branches on trees, those memories and situations that we created with happiness.
When I close my eyes, focused in meditation, I return there: to that cultural event, to when I was 5 years old; where I sing and dance in three languages: Spanish, English, and French; and, while sharing laughter and praise with the audience, I give thanks from my soul for still being here among you. From there, I glimpse how wonderful it is to share our experiences with everyone across time, valuing each memory that has brought us to our present moment; without complaining about what we once thought was wrong or caused us pain. All of these are traces from which we learn and which teach us to put down roots in our lands and on the planet, we choose to live on, and in the families that have welcomed us, whether through blood ties or multicultural bonds.
We are all one, and it is time to “GIVE THANKS for everything.” My memory preserves with great clarity four indelible marks that I share with you; Giving thanks today with you: • 1st. I already mentioned the first one in the first paragraph, and I also give thanks to my grandparents, who emigrated from Spain and France to the Dominican Republic, leaving in my veins and roots the mission to travel the world, learn, write, and continue sharing in various languages Footprints of “The C’HAPPINESS Traveler Museum” across time, with all who read this article, so that we may continue to integrate and create happiness on this planet.
• 2nd. At 17, my sister Nereyda told me, “Leave traces of your inspiration in writing, write your first book of poems and title it ‘Spring Dreams.’” She, Nereyda, as my muse in the arts and writing, not only wrote the prologue to “Spring Dreams,” but also encouraged me to bring the “C’HAPPINESS Traveler’s Museum” to life, sharing the treasures collected from more than 60 countries; some of which I show in the two photos below, which are part of the official opening in the Dominican Republic and the United States, along with those who are part of the Traveler’s Museum. • 3rd. My first Comprehensive Education and Art program for children from very low-income families; delivered to children aged 3-5 who were not yet admitted to primary school.
- 4th. In 1983, starting work in the pediatric ward and the neonatal intensive care unit brought back memories of my first painful experience: the death of my twin sister (who, in the midst of her fatal fever, made us promise to our souls to fulfill the mission of expanding our horizons). Seeing those newborns suffer convinced me to study preventative psychology. So, working in the Department of Pediatrics and Neonatology, I learned from Dr. Nilda Nunez de Laboy, Dr. Consuelo Mendoza y Dr. D’esposito, along with other excellent professionals in different areas, covering periods from before conception, contributing to clinical, holistic, and mental health.
Thus, in 1984, my first scientific mentor, Dr. José Garrido Calderón, encouraged me to study Perinatal Psychology (an innovative science encompassing the development of the baby and the lives of its parents). I did so, combining prenatal and postnatal psychology, leaving my mark and footprints at the IDSS Maternity, the Women’s Hospital in the Dominican Republic; and creating the first Comprehensive Family Psychology Program. Later, in 1992, my first mentor in spiritual and holistic growth, Dr. Jaime Marizan, a lawyer and writer, encouraged me to create the first Comprehensive Education Program for children at the ADASEC Institution; and to write my first book on Comprehensive Psychology: A Complete Guide from the Prenatal Stage to Adolescence, capturing in this book the journey and experiences from the womb..When I open my eyes, I realize that every day counts as an opportunity to give thanks and express it.
That’s why I’m posting this image below, naming hundreds of people who have left their mark on every trip I’ve taken with them. So, let’s examine where our footprints of happiness lead us, with whom we share them, and whether we spread our roots with the purpose of integration; whether we envision our flags united as one, singing anthems that proclaim Peace, Joy, and Prosperity in our world. Remember, by giving thanks for the positive footprints you created from the prenatal stage, joined with those of others, including mine, and this final footprint I plant in your heart, we already contribute to mental well-being for everyone, and you are part of “The C’HAPPINESS Traveler Museum” across time. We take this opportunity of this Thanksgiving and holiday season to encourage you to pack your bags, book your tickets, and be part of the “IST. INTERNATIONAL BOOK FAIR Mental Health Vs Multicultural Roots,” within our “Footprints of The C’HAPPINESS Traveler Museum” agenda.
