The Consulate also took the opportunity to recognize the leadership work of Dominican national Marisol Mancebo, Executive Director of Yonkers PAL, who has been described as “a bridge of support and coordination between local institutions and the Dominican community.” Her work has been highlighted not only for organizing and facilitating cultural and social spaces, but also for promoting inclusion programs for children, youth, and Dominican families residing in Yonkers and surrounding areas.
