According to Idaho authorities, there is a sixth tenant in the residence where four college students were killed.
MOSCOW, Idaho – The Moscow Police Department revealed Thursday night for the first time that a sixth person was on the lease at the off-campus apartment where four University of Idaho students were killed more than two weeks ago. . Still, detectives said they don’t believe that person was present during the quadruple homicide.
On November 13, between 3 and 4 a.m., three roommates—Xana Kernodle, 20, Madison Mogen, 21, and Kaylee Goncalves, 21—were fatally stabbed. Ethan Chapin, Kernodle’s boyfriend of 20 years, who was not residing there and was spending the night, also perished.
Two additional housemates were in the house unharmed. Five days after the murders, authorities revealed that Chapin was visiting and that he had not been a roommate as investigators initially claimed.
According to a press release from the Moscow Police Department, “detectives are aware of a sixth person named in the lease for the property, but do not believe that person was present during the event.”
Fox News Digital asked authorities a few questions Thursday night, but they did not immediately react.
Merida McClanahan, the property management supervisor for the Idaho team, previously revealed to Fox News Digital that the home is a six-bedroom, three-bathroom, three-story single-family home frequently rented to students. In each account, there are two bedrooms and a bathroom.
Third-year law student Jeremy Reagan, a neighbor, called the property a “party house.” Reagan previously told Fox News that there were several rowdy parties.
“I was walking around when I saw people in the windows almost every night, maybe four or five nights a week, when I would go in and out with my dog to go to the bathroom. Many people were going in and out of that house constantly.”
