New Jersey: Although the Adventist Church is ordinarily a religious and not a political institution, a group of pastors in New Jersey has initiated a prayer chain out of widespread concern.

The Adventist pastors are united, praying and calling for peace and democracy in a free Venezuela.

This Sunday, a pivotal moment in Venezuelan history unfolds as presidential elections occur. More than 21 million people, both within the national territory and abroad, except for the U.S., are summoned. Venezuelans will choose among ten candidates leading the country for 2025-2031. The leading contenders are the current president, Nicolás Maduro, who is seeking a third term, and the representative of the Venezuelan opposition, Edmundo González.
