SANTO DOMINGO. \u2013 The Superior Electoral Court (TSE) rejected a request for a precautionary measure seeking to temporarily suspend the implementation of Resolution 01-2026 issued by the Central Electoral Board (JCE), which established the amounts of state funding allocated to political parties, groups and movements for the current year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The request was filed on August 3 by Proyecto Visi\u00f3n Naci\u00f3n and Jos\u00e9 Cristopher Ram\u00edrez as part of the main legal proceeding identified under case file TSE-01-0021-2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The court declared the request admissible in form but rejected it on the merits, concluding that the legal requirements established under Article 160 of the Electoral Contentious Procedures Regulations for granting a precautionary measure had not been satisfied.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Under those provisions, the petitioners were required to demonstrate the apparent validity of the right being asserted, the existence of imminent harm that would be difficult or impossible to remedy, and a direct connection between the requested precautionary measure and the underlying legal action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the proceedings, the JCE raised two grounds for inadmissibility, both of which were rejected by the court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One of the JCE\u2019s arguments was that Resolution 01-2026 had already been fully implemented. The TSE rejected that position, noting that the electoral authority had not provided evidence demonstrating that all public funds established under the resolution had already been disbursed to the political organizations entitled to receive them during the current year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The ruling does not decide the merits of the underlying lawsuit. Instead, the court determined that the conditions required to temporarily halt the implementation of Resolution 01-2026 had not been established while the main case remains pending.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As a result, the JCE resolution governing the distribution of state financial contributions to political parties, groups and movements remains in effect as the legal proceedings continue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
