Former NYPD Detective Among the Missing at Jet Set

Santo Domingo, DR: Retired NYPD detective Emmanuel Gómez is missing among the rubble of the Jet Set nightclub, according to his wife and mother of his two children, Leidy Jiménez, who traveled from New York early Wednesday, April 9, to the ground zero of the collapse at the Jet Set nightclub.

Emmanuel Gómez was at the Jet Set nightclub celebrating his retirement from the New York Police Department alongside his cousin and a friend, both of whom are also still unaccounted for.

The vehicle of former NYPD detective Emmanuel Gómez is still parked at the Jet Set nightclub. His wife is at the INACIF (National Institute of Forensic Sciences), but so far, no deceased person matching her husband’s description has been identified.
