Senator Alexis Victoria Yeb Calls on Dominican Entrepreneurs to Invest in the Dominican Republic

"The Dominican State has shown sustained growth over the past 20 years. Last year, 2024, we grew by 5% of GDP. This is a favorable environment for Dominicans in the diaspora to begin investing in various areas of our economy, such as tourism, which has consistently grown with over 11 million tourists annually."

Washington, DC: Dominican Senator Alexis Victoria Yeb from the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM) described the Dominican Republic as «the Logistics Hub of Latin America,» highlighting its excellent security climate for investment in real estate and other key sectors of the economy.

«The Dominican State has shown sustained growth over the past 20 years. Last year, 2024, we grew by 5% of GDP. This is a favorable environment for Dominicans in the diaspora to begin investing in various areas of our economy, such as tourism, which has shown consistent growth, with over 11 million tourists per year,» said Senator Alexis Victoria Yeb during the annual event «Dominicans in the Capitol,» which concluded on Tuesday with recognition from the Congress of the Dominican Republic to its creator, Congressman Adriano Espaillat.

«The Dominican Republic has established itself as the Logistics Hub of Latin America, strengthening its macroeconomic, political, and social stability to the point of becoming an oasis for investment throughout the region,» Victoria Yeb stated. «We have positioned the Dominican Republic as an ideal destination for investment. We are a new logistics center, with a model we have created for people to think of our country as the ‘Logistics Hub’ of the Americas. We are generating the necessary conditions for Dominicans living abroad to invest in their homeland,» he added.

Senator Victoria Yeb highlighted that several sectors offer excellent conditions and opportunities for investment, such as mining, free trade zones, and energy. «They can create logistics centers in free zones to transport products from the Dominican Republic and all over Latin America. The Dominican State has established the best conditions and a robust legal and legislative framework to ensure that this type of business development occurs in an environment of absolute security,» he noted.

The senator was accompanied by the President of the Senate, Ricardo de los Santos, and Senators Pedro Catrain, Alexis Omar Fernández (Distrito Nacional), Lía Díaz de Díaz (Azua), Carlos Gómez (Espaillat), Gustavo Lara Salazar (San Cristóbal), Pedro Tineo (Monte Plata), and Aneudy Ortiz Sajiun (San José de Ocoa), among others.
