Barahona Reaches 190% of Its Dominicans First Signature-Collection Goal

Barahona.- Barahona province reached 190% of the goal established in the national signature-collection process promoted by the Dominicans First movement, according to data released by the organization.

The initiative’s progress map places Barahona at approximately 3,400 signatures, compared with a target of about 1,800, making the province one of the districts that have far exceeded their assigned goals.

In the southern region, Pedernales also appears above its target, with 163% completion, while San Juan stands at 127%. Other provinces in the area remain below their respective goals.

The data presented by Dominicans First show differences in the level of progress among the country’s various districts during the support-gathering process.

Nationwide, Monseñor Nouel records the highest percentage shown on the map, at 256%. The province has accumulated approximately 4,000 signatures against a target of about 1,600.

Santiago shows 235% completion, with approximately 17,000 signatures compared with a goal of 7,400. La Altagracia records 224%, and La Vega 205%.

Other districts that have surpassed their goals include María Trinidad Sánchez, at 195%; El Seibo, at 188%; Monte Cristi and Hermanas Mirabal, both at 185%; and Samaná, at 177%.

The map released by the organization indicates that several provinces have exceeded 100% of their goals, while others continue collecting signatures to reach the established targets.

With approximately 3,400 Dominicans First signatures recorded, Barahona remains among the provinces with the highest completion percentages in the national process disclosed by the movement.
