The Second Collegiate Court of the National District in Santo Domingo authorized the temporary lifting of the travel ban imposed on former attorney general Jean Alain Rodríguez, allowing him to leave the country strictly for medical evaluations abroad.
The decision, contained in resolution 249-04-2026-SRES-00016, grants a two-business-day permit, effective from the night of Wednesday, April 22 through Sunday, April 26, 2026. The court stated that the authorization does not interfere with the ongoing trial or its schedule, with hearings tentatively set for Mondays and Wednesdays.
