“The Dominican Consulate in the great city of New York collaborates with various local organizations and implements strategies to continuously improve its services. This episode is a unique opportunity to understand the relevance and impact of the Dominican Consulate in New York on the lives of Dominicans living in the United States,” Báez wrote in the description of the podcast published on her YouTube channel.
Before accompanying Indira Báez on an extensive tour through every department of the consulate, Consul Eligio Jáquez revealed impressive statistics that place this delegation in a prominent position on Google’s search platform. According to the figures presented, the consulate generated 24,757 searches, meaning that on every business day, more than 1,000 people seek information about services offered by the Dominican Consulate in New York.
“Well, it’s excellent because it shows that we are where we need to be. We are in the right place to answer all the questions Dominicans may have, not only in New York, but anyone looking for this kind of information. Yes, because people come here not only interested in consular matters, but within our delegation we also have several public offices whose representation we have successfully brought here, and today they are a reality, providing services to Dominicans who need them,” said Consul Jáquez.
Consul Eligio Jáquez is widely regarded as one of the most effective Dominican diplomats to have served in New York, and he is credited with transforming the consulate into what many describe as an extension of the Dominican National Palace. Dominicans living in the United States now visit this delegation seeking solutions to a wide range of issues and public service needs. Under Jáquez’s leadership, the consulate has incorporated services from various Dominican government institutions operating within the diplomatic delegation, including the Ministry of Interior and Police, INDEX, Customs, SeNaSa, the Superior Electoral Tribunal (TSE), Pension and Retirement Services, INTRANT, among others.
