The meeting comes after SEABOARD MARINE reported that the vessel M.V. SEABOARD EXPLORER V77SB, traveling from Brooklyn to Río Haina, Dominican Republic, encountered adverse maritime conditions during the early hours of September 26, 2026.
According to the statements received, certain containers were reported lost overboard.
The situation has caused concern among small cargo-consolidation businesses and numerous customers awaiting delivery of their merchandise in the Dominican Republic.
During the meeting, FECODECA executives will examine the available information, the situation of the affected customers, and the appropriate institutional and legal actions.
The federation has not disclosed in advance the decisions to be adopted. Its official position and the measures it decides to take will be announced later through a public statement.
