Lorem Ipsum is simply placeholder text used in the printing and typesetting industry. It has been the industry’s standard placeholder text since the 16th century, when an unknown printer took a type specimen and scrambled it to create a type sample book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining virtually unchanged. It became popular in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing passages of Lorem Ipsum, and more recently with desktop publishing software such as Aldus PageMaker, which included versions of Lorem Ipsum.
