During a background check, federal authorities confirmed that Gómez was subject to an outstanding arrest warrant issued in 2023 by authorities in the Dominican Republic in connection with a homicide case, significantly worsening his legal situation in the United States.
Gómez remains in immigration custody while proceedings continue before a judge, who will determine his potential deportation. Authorities have not released additional details regarding the case in the Dominican Republic or the current status of legal actions against him there.
