Captain Héctor Casanova Sánchez, deputy commander of Conchalí Norte, said the victim was on the second floor of the building when the attackers arrived.
According to information provided by the officer, the men located the Dominican citizen and shot him several times before leaving the establishment and fleeing the scene.
Casanova Sánchez said the Dominican man killed in Chile was in irregular immigration status and was attending the establishment when the attack took place.
The officer also said that, given the time of day, the business should not have been open and that it was operating clandestinely when the homicide occurred.
Police personnel and representatives of the ECOH Prosecutor’s Office conducted forensic work at the establishment as part of the homicide investigation and efforts to clarify the circumstances of the crime.
Authorities are also working to identify and locate the seven people identified as participants in the attack in the municipality of Conchalí.
As of the close of the report, the suspects’ whereabouts were unknown, and authorities had not reported any arrests in connection with the crime being investigated by the ECOH Prosecutor’s Office.
