Santo Domingo, DR.- The Central Bank of the Dominican Republic published the reference rates for buying and selling the U.S. dollar this Monday, September 7, with quotations that kept the selling rate below RD$60.

Among financial institutions, the average dollar buying rate stood at RD$57.23, while the selling rate reached RD$59.70, according to the data released.

One month earlier, the reference quotations in that same segment of the foreign-exchange market were RD$56.88 for buying and RD$59.61 for selling.

The data reported monthly variations of -0.60% for buying and -0.14% for selling.

For remittance and exchange agents, the average buying rate stood at RD$58.47 per dollar on Monday, while the selling rate was RD$59.48.

The figures from one month earlier placed the buying rate at RD$58.04 and the selling rate at RD$58.91 for remittance and exchange agents.

In the comparison presented, variations of -0.74% for buying and -0.95% for selling were reported for that segment.

The over-the-counter foreign-exchange market in the Dominican Republic has shown limited daily and monthly movements in the U.S. dollar’s quotation through this week.

The variations are more pronounced when current rates are compared with those recorded at the end of 2025 and during the previous year, according to the available information.
